Caelruzis & Melbourne

Hi, here's a comic page I did this lazy sunday.

Apologies for not posting much here; I have recently moved to Melbourne (still count 2 months ago as recent?) and I've got a job at a place where I'm making websites and other designy things (made a TV commercial with After Effects the other day!). Things are pretty swell in the old Melbs; choice book stores, lots of arty cultural things, the museum and national gallery of victoria rule. I went and saw the Dali exhibition which I highly recommend to all in Melbourne to go and view. Very inspiring!

I hope to have more comic work to show in the near future, but nothing's set in stone yet so don't get your hopes up...

Damsels Website

I finished this a few days ago. It's all done in Flash. I still have yet to program the backend so at the moment I'm just hand-editing an XML file to update the content.

I got plans to start building my own CMS (Wordpress is nice but too cumbersome for the kind of stuff I want to do). Gonna aim for a small type deal that I can build and add modules to and is an easy install and has a bunch of other cool features and shiz that I've been thinking about. Just been real busy at the moment with preparing for my move to Melbourne (need to find a job there too. Know of any?) but I'm really looking forward to having some time in the future to start working on it.

In Due Accordance With

I used this free CMS called Indexhibit and it's pretty sweet. Nice and simple.

Anyways, that paintings site will be the official place where I keep records of my paintings and any exhibitions that I've been/I'll be in and log my progress as a painter of fine artz. I only got 33% on my Bursary (Form 7 -- Year 13) painting board!

Some updates

A couple recent poster jobs; I'm still on the brink of starvation/homelessness. I've been working on a whole lotta stuff at the mo (which I still have to post) and I'm also moving to Melbourne on May 3rd. One of the other big things I've been working on is my portfolio! Check out it's current state here: lvl99.com/portfolio. I want a good job real bad so I've gone all out on the portfolio thang.

I'm also throwing a birthday/leaving party on April 17. This will be the first time I've acknowledged my birthday since primary school. I'm hoping to basically combine a whole lotta other shit into the party night (maybe even an exhibition of art of some sort?!) since it's gonna be at Ariki Gallery.
